Back to Post Hurricane Ivan

In honor of Harry Gowen, a man whose force truly shaped our beach, we welcome the newest member of our family, Harry, the Pelican.  Mr. Harry is the carved pelican that adorns our new sign.  One day as Mark and I caught up on each others' "To Do" lists, we both suggested a new sign at the same time.  We both wanted to pay a tribute to Harry Gowen and we both wanted to have a pelican be a part of it.  Not surprisingly, when we went to select "Harry", we both chose the same pelican.  Must be a sign!  (lame pun intended).  My husband is many wonderful things and he is definitely not a procrastinator.  Within a week, the new sign was gracing the yard.  Come by and meet Harry!
